Description
The Barking Past bronze medallion, struck for the Boxer, drawn with cropped ears as the working dogs were kept. Descended from the Bullenbeisser, the German hunting mastiff bred to seize boar and stag by the face and hold on until the huntsman arrived. Cropped ears and docked tails were working modifications, made to remove what an animal could grab.
